Middle East expert Ali Abunimah’s recent book, One Country, a Proposal to End the Israeli-Palestinian Impass is due out in paperback this summer. We discuss the funding of Fatah and Hamas and the history of these Palestinian organizations and US/Israeli policies. Ali Abunimah has described the ‘new’ Fatah as a proxy force working for the US and Israel in the tradition of the Nicaraguan Contras.

On Saturday, December 16th, 2006, Palestinian solidarity activists gathered on St. Catherine street in downtown Montreal to draw attention to a 2005 appeal from Palestinian civil-society organizations to “Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel Until it Complies with International Law and Universal Principles of Human Rights.”
