George Cadman of Free Radio Santa Cruz interviews Jeff Halper about the Israeli government’s policy of demolishing Palestinian homes and how that policy fits into the overall Occupation of Palestine. Jeff Halper is the Coordinating Director of the Israeli Committee Against Home Demolitions (ICAHD), a distinguished author, internationally acclaimed speaker, and an Israeli peace activist for over 30 years. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and is the author of Obstacles to Peace (2005). ICAHD is a non-violent, direct-action group originally established to oppose and resist Israeli demolition of Palestinian houses. It is comprised of members of many Israeli peace and human rights organizations and works closely with local Palestinian organizations.
